A pharmaceutical company in New Jersey is looking to add an experienced professional to join their team as their new Controller. Reporting to the CFO, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
The Controller will:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements
• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting functions
• Implement and maintain an effective financial reporting system, including timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Develop financial statements for the US entity and provide meaningful analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends
• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
• Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement
• Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet the company's financial obligations and optimize returns on investments
• Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requirements
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 7 years of Accounting / Finance experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or a related field
• Broad range of Finance experience
• Gross-to-Net experience
• Pharmaceutical/life sciences industry
• Supervisory/management experience
• Proficient with all MS Office applications
• Proficient with an ERP system
• Expertise in ERP integration, preparation of financial statements under US GAAP
• Basic Treasury/Cash Management and Purchasing process know-how

Desired Skills:

• MBA and/or CPA
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience with ERP implementation / ERP upgrades
